Ngoni was performing at the second edition of the Road to Fame that also featured Trevor Dongo. Revellers took time to raise hands and sing at the top of their voices enjoying every moment.
Ngoni would give the microphone to a reveller and they would sing along.
He went to sing “Bvuma”, “Ndiwe Chete”, “Mwoyo Wangu”, “Shamwari” and “Swedera”, among other popular songs.
Trevor Dongo showed that he is a rising star as he performed songs like “Nerunako”, “Takonana” and “Tivanyadzise”, among others.
Speaking after the performance, Ngoni said he always enjoys himself when in Bulawayo. He said he was working on a single.
“When I am in Bulawayo I always enjoy myself. The crowd is very appreciative of the music and for me it is a boost. I have a single that I am working on and I promise fans that it will be a hit,” said Ngoni.
He said fans from Bulawayo were not well versed with new songs and that was why he concentrated on old hits.
“I noticed during my performance that when I decided to do songs from 2010 fans did not know them. So I decided to do tracks they knew,” said Ngoni.
He said he was planning to put back his band together and has started negotiating contracts with band members and also working on videos.
“I want to revive my band and I have started negotiations on the band members’ contracts. I am working on videos for my songs since I have a few so that fans can enjoy my music,” said Ngoni.
