Kombi crash: 2 more dead

Monday.

The accident claimed seven people, four of them on the spot and the other three on admission at Murambinda hospital on Monday. Police identified seven of the victims as Kelly Chikadaya (2), Fungai Machokoto, Ronwell Mabara (36), Tonderai Mhaka (75), Shepherd Mujuru (34), Samuel Manhimbe (57) and Plaxedes Machokoto (6).

Two female victims have not been identified. The accident occurred at the 1,5 kilometre peg along the Chivhu-Nyazura road near Murambinda growth point. The commuter omnibus’ tyre burst and it overturned four times before landing on its roof.
