ZIMBABWE’S most sought-after wedding choreographer, Kudakwashe Makaza, is on cloud nine.

Better known by his moniker, Kuda the Choreographer, the 31-year-old, who recently won two awards at the second edition of the Zimbabwe Wedding Industry Networking Gala held in Harare, is living his dream.

The Chitungwiza-bred choreographer was recognised as the Outstanding Wedding Choreographer and also secured the title of first runner-up in the Most Influential Entrepreneur category.

“I am feeling grateful and blessed. The fruits of my labour and hard work are truly paying off. I’m excited about the future and looking forward to many more wins.

“Here’s to continued growth, success and achievement.

“This achievement not only brings me joy but also fuels the growth of my brand. I’m happy to see my hard work paying off and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead,” he said.

Kuda, who won the Choreographer of the Year award in 2022 and has toured more than five countries doing weddings, said 2024 was a tough year for him.

“The year 2024 was a challenging year for me but I’m grateful to have made it through. I thank God for His guidance and strength and for bringing me to where I am today.

“I can say I am happy to kick off 2025 by elevating my brand to new heights.

“My focus is on enhancing professionalism, expanding my services and attracting a wider clientele base. Exciting times ahead.”

He added:

“It’s now been over a decade since I embarked on my path in the wedding industry. I’m grateful for the experiences, lessons and connections made along the way. I am passionate about living life to the fullest.

“I wear many hats as a certified personal trainer, Zumba instructor, content creator, business owner and wedding choreographer, among others.

“I am also grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passions and I inspire others along the way.”
