THE GIBBO TRIANGLE : Ex-Sugar Boys coach Kaindu warns his charges on stadium

Bulawayo giants are marching into enemy territory this Sunday as they face a struggling but dangerous Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium — and gaffer Kelvin Kaindu is SENDING A STERN WARNING!

“They’re bottom of the table — that makes them deadly!” said the Bosso boss, who knows Triangle inside out after previously coaching them. “We must not underestimate them!”

The Sugar boys are in crisis!

Zero wins in four games! Rock bottom of the Castle Lager PSL!

Bosso are fighting their own demons: still winless away this season, with a 1-1 draw against Scottland FC exposing defensive woes. They score but can’t hold the lead.

This will be the first time this season that the Sugar Boys play at their favoured hunting ground, Gibbo Stadium, which has a capacity of just over 3 000.

Having coached Triangle United during his time in Zimbabwe, Kaindu acknowledged the challenge ahead:

“We have been preparing for this encounter. They will be playing at their usual home ground. They haven’t started well, they’re at the bottom of the log, and I think that will be our biggest enemy. We need to guard against complacency.”

The only home game Triangle have played this season was at GreenFuel Arena, where they hosted CAPS United in their Week Three fixture.

“I’ve been there before; I’ve worked on that field before. I’m not sure about the renovations they’ve made, but it’s a good pitch, a good environment, and I just hope we go there and play the type of football we want to play,” said Kaindu.

Triangle United, under the guidance of Luke Masomere — a self-proclaimed Doctor of Zimbabwean football — are yet to register a win in four matches.

On the other hand, Bosso, still searching for their first away victory, will be desperate to claim maximum points.

The Bulawayo giants are coming off a 1-1 home draw against a star-studded Scottland FC.

“Our conversion rate has been great — we’re averaging 1.5 goals per match. But we need to improve our ability to defend our leads,” Kaindu admitted.
