Harare City Council has appointed former NMB Bank chief executive Mr James Mushore as the city’s new town clerk without first recommending the top three candidates to the Local Government Board as is procedural.

Mr Mushore, who was appointed after full council approved results of an interview panel appointed by the city, is set to replace Dr Tendai Mahachi who was retired from council service in December last year.
