I encourage you to apply the knowledge gained in parliamentary debates, policy reviews, and engagements with stakeholders so that cybersecurity remains a priority on the national agenda.
“As the ministry, we remain committed to fostering a secure and resilient digital infrastructure. We will continue working closely with Parliament, regulatory bodies like POTRAZ, law enforcement agencies and the private sector to implement best practices in cyber-security. Through your legislative and oversight roles, we can collectively ensure that Zimbabwe’s digital economy is protected from cyber threats.
“While today marks the conclusion of this workshop, it is only the beginning of a more proactive and informed engagement on cyber security policy and governance. Cyber threats are constantly evolving and it is crucial to remain ahead through continuous learning, collaboration and legislative responsiveness. I urge all you to champion cyber-security in Parliament, advocate for policies that strengthen data policy and drive initiatives that promote a resilient digital economy,” said Minister Mavetera.
