Leicester want Fofana record fee

LONDON. – Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Wesley Fofana has been ordered to train with Leicester City’s Under-21s after attempting to force through a move to fellow English Premiership football club Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have now seen three bids rejected for Fofana, with their latest offer of £70 million turned down on Tuesday.

Fofana missed a training session in the build up to Leicester City’s defeat to Southampton at the weekend and was left out of the matchday squad as a result.

Leicester City are holding out for a fee in excess of £80 million for the 21-year-old, who still has five years remaining on his current contract.

“An offer has gone in and has been rejected,” Rodgers said of Chelsea’s latest bid on Tuesday evening. – ESPN FC.
