FIVE Zimbabwe young entrepreneurs are currently in Gaborone, Botswana for Africa Kidspreneur Summit aimed at nurturing the next generation of African Entrepreneurs.

The Zimbabwe Team is represented by Kidspreneurs Zimbabwean kids who include Tanatswa Kapfura, Tamar Kunashe Muchineuta, Aiden Murambidzi, Shanelle Matanhire, and Thandekile Langa Khumalo.

The programme is courtesy of Kidspreneur Africa (AKS2024) in collaboration with Finance Kids, with a mission and purpose focused on nurturing young people into the next African Entrepreneurs.

The vision is to inspire and empower African children aged 7-17 years to become self-starters who proactively turn their dreams into reality.

The theme for this year’s summit is ‘Maximising the potentials of the next generation of African Entrepreneurs and Leaders’.

According to organisers, the event brings together a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Africa’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Shalom Museba who accompanied the children said, they want the children to get exposure.

“We came to Botswana for this summit as a way to groom these young children to get exposure and learn from other children from other countries.

“The idea is to make them take notes and network so that when they go back home, they will also impart the skills to other children.

“The other objective is to urge emerging talents to boldly take their place on the world stage, breaking down the constraints that often limit young innovators.

“It also aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit and leadership among young Africans.

“I believe it will provide an invaluable platform for these young minds to network and learn.”

Following the successful completion of the two Africa Kidspreneur Summits, the first virtually was on November 6, 2022, with over 200 attendees.

The second one was on August 16–18, 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya, drawing over 500 attendees and over 80 children from the seven participating countries around Africa, including Botswana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, and Uganda.
