UPCOMING Afro-fusion artist Shellington ‘Love Maker’ Mukumbira has released a new album titled “Ririko Zuva”.
The four-track album carries tracks Ririko Zuva, Mbiri yenyu, Yera, and Munamato.
Speaking to H-Metro about the EP, Love Maker said he used to sing love songs mostly but on the Ririko Zuva album, he shifted and dwelled more on gospel songs.
‘’Many people are drifting away from what is right in terms of our society’s norms and values, so I decided to convey a good message through this compilation.
‘’It’s a gospel compilation with afro beats produced by Dylano, Palmer, and DK AT Bravestone Records.
‘’I am thrilled to share this new body of work with my fans. This album represents a significant milestone in my artistic journey, and I can’t wait to perform these tracks live.
He also cited financial difficulties, lack of proper management, and sabotage by other artists as hindrances to his career.
‘’This is my 7th album and I have no proper management. Therefore, I do everything personally and it’s been hard for me.
‘’Another issue is lack of airplay which makes it difficult for my music to reach a wider audience, but I am grateful for certain personalities on our local radios.
Love Maker has been releasing music in the last few years, which shows his versatility when engaging in other genres.
