ZIMBABWE’S Lucky Mlilo has served up another smashing victory after being re-elected unopposed as President of the Squash Federation of Africa (SFA) during a virtual AGM held on Friday.
Mlilo, a 60-year-old Bulawayo-based businessman, will now lead African squash until 2029, continuing his trailblazing reign as the first Black African president of the federation since its inception in 1992.
His win also secures him a seat on the World Squash Federation board where he represents Africa’s interests on the global stage.
Delegates from squash powerhouses like Egypt, Nigeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Kenya and Angola endorsed Mlilo’s leadership as the sport continues to grow across the continent.
The full SFA executive board now includes:
• President: Lucky Mlilo (Zimbabwe)
• VP North: Amna El Tarabolsy (Egypt)
• VP South: Tiego K. Rabasha (Botswana)
• VP West and Central Africa: Adamu Ahmed Erena (Nigeria)
• VP East: Gakuo Ndirangu (Kenya)
• Secretary General: Charmaine Koveya (Botswana)
• Treasurer: Ahmed Hawas (Egypt)
From Mzilikazi to the world, Lucky is keeping squash sharp in Africa!
