IF youare in a way considering proposing to your neighbouras wife, you need to read this story first.
Marko Masuku from Emakhandeni suburb in Bulawayo created a scene when he ran for dear life in full view of residents after his neighbour Willian Mhlanga threatened to stab him with a scissors as punishment for proposing love to his wife.
As shocked residents were following the free drama, some of Masukuas friends however, gathered courage and disarmed Mhlanga who was reportedly seething with anger.
A panic-stricken Masuku last week approached the Bulawayo Civil Court seeking a peace order against Mhlanga claiming he threatened him with death.
He said the violence which Mhlanga was perpetrating against him was an ancient way of solving problems.
a?Willian Mhlanga should stop his violent conduct towards me and my family. He should not interfere with my peace since I am a peace loving individual. He should also stop accusing me of being after his wife.
a?On two separate occasions I avoided him before he started coming to my place to harass me while threatening me with death. On 24 January he approached me when I was in a bar and he started insulting me for no apparent reason.
a?He also confronted me on 24 February and I had to run for dear life after he threatened to stab me with scissors and my friends later came to my rescue,a? said a confused Masuku.
In response, Mhlanga unmasked Masuku saying he provoked him by frequenting his house to propose love to his wife.
He said his eight-year-old daughter confided to him that during his absence Masuku was a regular visitor at their house.
a?Some of the details he said are not true. Masuku is my neighbour and the other day when he was passing by my house my eight-year-old daughter whom I was sitting with started pointing at him saying he was the man who was always troubling her mother.
a?I didnat take her seriously until I confronted my wife who also told me that Masuku had been coming to the house troubling her,a? responded Mhlanga.
Following his wifeas admission that Masuku was troubling her, thatas when Mhlanga confronted his neighbour to reprimand him over his disrespectful actions.
Mhlangaas sentiments courted the anger of Masukuas wife who was also in court when she charged at her husband asking him why he was after other menas wives.
Her actions did not go down well with presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova who reprimanded her saying she risked being arrested for contempt of court.
In his ruling the magistrate ordered Mhlanga to stop harassing, threatening or conducting himself in a violent manner towards Masuku.
He also advised Masuku to stop stalking his neighbouras wife if accusations that he was doing so were true.
