MACHESO INVADES WHERE NGWAZI FLOPPED

ONCE again, fans are set to be drawn into comparisons when Alick Macheso visits the two South Africa venues where Mark Ngwazi flopped.

Macheso will be performing at Baseline Newtown Factory on Saturday and at Propaganda in Pretoria on Sunday.

There has already been an attempt to block fans from attending Alick Macheso’s shows this weekend.

Messages have been circulating via WhatsApp purporting that the shows have been cancelled, which has been denied by the promoters and Macheso’s camp.

Ngwazi hosted two shows at the same venues a fortnight ago and they were both a huge flop with less than 200 fans attending both concerts.

The promoters have decided to bring the sungura superstar and, already, there is optimism that they will not run losses this time around.

“Mzansi pa Jo’bug tirikuuya musanyeberwe nenhau dzambotenderera hamenowo kuti shanje dziri kubva nekupi,” said Macheso.

“Chatirikuziva ndechekuti hakuna zvakadaro ma shows ariko.

“26 October tinenge tiri muJohannesburg paBaseline, 27 paPropaganda in Pretoria, sanganai neband renyu ipapo.

“Tirikuuya nezvitsva zvichangoburwa izvi.”

Macheso has promised to light up both venues this weekend.

“We are ready to take the new album to South Arica and sample some of the new songs, it’s going to be an unforgettable experience.

“We are inviting all Baba Shero’s fans to come in their numbers as we light up both stages,” said Macheso’s handler Tich Makahamadze.

Macheso’s last shows in South Africa were sold out.
