SOCIALITE Tyra Cleopatra Chikocho, popularly known as Madam Boss, says her movie is now ready for the big screen.

The film, “Becoming Madam Boss,” was unveiled at Joina City in Harare on Thursday.

The movie poster was flighted on at the digital billboard on top of Joina City—making it the first movie to be featured there. The advert will run for 30 days. Madam Boss’ manager, Fanuel Masunungure, said the long-awaited movie will be released next month, with a world premiere tour.

“The movie is to be released in May, and we will start the world tour from Westgate Harare, Masvingo, Bulawayo, Johannesburg, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Australia,” said Fanuel. He added that the production was made possible through partnerships, including Joina City and the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC), which assisted “much in the shooting of the movie.”

Madam Boss’ husband and co-manager, Ngoni Munetsiwa, thanked Madam Boss fans, sponsors, and the media for their continued support. “The journey started sometime in 2016 with some skits. We never imagined it would grow this big,” he said.

He said the Madam Boss brand has collaborated with a number of brands over the years, and she has also become an ambassador for several local companies as well as international brands.

“Madam Boss is now gone international. I am proud to be the manager and husband of Madam Boss,” said Munetsiwa, popularly known as Mhofu. Munetsiwa also noted that the unveiling marks the debut of a reality-style movie based on a true story—Tarisai Tyra Cleopatra Chikocho, who started as a house maid and rose to become a lady boss.

Meanwhile, Madam Boss continues to prove that she is more than just laughs but she’s a force, a role model, and a digital empire builder.

With millions of followers across platforms, Madam Boss has mastered the art of turning everyday experiences into relatable, humorous content that resonates across borders. But beyond the skits and viral moments, her influence runs deeper inspiring young people, especially women, to dream big and stay authentic.Fans admire her consistency, discipline, and ability to remain grounded despite her massive success.

“I started from nothing, and I always remind people that your background doesn’t define your future,” she has said in past interviews, a message that continues to motivate many who follow her journey. Her rise has not gone unnoticed internationally. Madam Boss made headlines as she attended BET Awards in US, a milestone that placed Zimbabwe firmly on the global entertainment map.

While she was not nominated nor took home the award, the recognition alone was widely celebrated as a win for the country. However, the BET moment also sparked debate on social media, with some critics questioning local support systems for artists and whether Zimbabwe is doing enough to back its stars on international platforms.

Despite the noise, Madam Boss remained focused and appreciative.

Today, she continues to use her platform not just for entertainment, but for empowerment — promoting entrepreneurship, self-belief, and resilience.
