THE dribbling wizard is back in the spotlight!
Highlanders icon Madinda “Khathazile” Ndlovu was crowned Legend of Legends at a feel-good awards bash that reunited Bosso greats for a night of football nostalgia at Bulawayo Theatre on Saturday.

Known for leaving defenders dizzy and fans screaming for more, Madinda was the toast of the night as old-school Bosso royalty gathered to celebrate their glory days in black and white.
The event, spearheaded by Stanley Nyathi through Neighbour Magazine, brought together former players from different generations. It’s now set to become an annual tradition to honour the men who built the Highlanders brand brick by glorious brick.

“Who doesn’t remember what Madinda used to do with the ball at his feet?” said Douglas “British” Mloyi, another Bosso great. “He had speed, skill and style. A true dribbling wizard. This is a well-deserved recognition.”
Madinda, the elder brother of the legendary Peter Ndlovu and another football legend Adam, stood out not only for his own wizardry but also as part of Zimbabwe’s first family of football. Together, the trio wove magic for both Highlanders and the

Warriors, winning hearts and trophies in equal measure.
To add cherry on top, the night also saw former Bosso stars receive a playing kit donation from Mr Sinkwa. The gesture turned the ceremony into a trip down memory lane and a a salute to living legends.

“We organised this to celebrate Highlanders’ rich heritage,” said Nyathi. “These men carried the name Highlanders with pride. The awards are also part of building momentum for the club’s 99-year anniversary, and of course, the big 100 next year.”
The Cool Ruler himself, Alexander Maseko, was in the building, along with legends like Blessing Gumiso, Simba Rusike, Tapuwa “Campos” Kapini, Zenzo “Zemura” Moyo, Gift Lunga Snr, Thabani “Mqwayi” Masawi, and Mkhokheli Dube.

It was a reminder that Bosso is a legacy. And on Saturday, Madinda Ndlovu wore the crown.
