A Highfield based church leader donated some laptops to students who obtained good results in their Grade 7 exams.
More than 50 students went away with satchels and 10 received laptops from Madzibaba Stephen Gwasarira of Johanne Masowe yeChishanu.
Madzibaba Moses said:
“This donation is meant to cheer up the children so that they do not engage in drug and substance abuse.
“As a church, we do not only pray for them but continue to motivate our children, empower them and make sure their future is bright.
“By this donation we are urging those who failed to obtain better results to work harder,” he said.
Madzibaba Moses urged parents to closely monitor their children.
The kids who were honoured included Tasha Gwasarira, 11, who sat for Cambridge Examinations while in Grade 6.
