THE City of Mutare will tomorrow (Wednesday) conduct routine maintenance works on the 450mm Odzani to Christmas Pass water transmission pipeline.

According to a public notice issued by the local authority, the maintenance process is expected to take a day, resulting in reduced water supply in the city.

“To all our esteemed residents and customers, notice is hereby given that City of Mutare will carry out scheduled routine maintenance on the 450mm Odzani to Christmas Pass water transmission line on July 23. As a result, there will be reduced water supply in the city. Normal water supply is expected to be restored after 24 hours. Water bowsers will be provided to complement supply in the city,” reads part of the notice.

Mutare City Council urged customers to use water sparingly during the maintenance period until normal service is restored.
