MUTARE is set to experience depressed water supply after a transmission line was vandalised and broke down.
Repair works will be carried out tomorrow (Friday).
In a notice to the public this afternoon, Mutare City Council said: “Notice is hereby given to our customers and stakeholders that we have recorded a breakdown of the 700mm clear water transmission line due to vandalism, resulting in reduced delivery of water to Christma Pass balancing tanks.
“Repair works will be carried out on May 23, 2025,” said the local authority.
Water bowsers to distressed areas will be provided at central points, added Mutare City Council.
The local authority urged residents to use water sparingly during the repairs period.
