Makhoe Drey charms Blaq Diamond

Australia-based Afro fusion artiste Makhosini Nkomo, otherwise known as Makhoe Drey, in the music circles is making sure he keeps his name on top of the game.

After successfully releasing his first album titled Usiba in July, Makhoe Drey has made a follow-up and released yet another smash single titled Isncam’ncede.

The single, which sits on 8 300 views on YouTube has generated a massive number of positive comments within a week of its release.

It even charmed the South African award-winning duo of Blaq Diamond.

The group which hails from Emnambithi, KwaZulu Natal congratulated Makhoe Drey in a three-minute video via Instagram which might lead to a possible collaboration of the artistes.

“This is a fine tune bro, of course it needs to be panel beaten here and there but you are on the right track. Can you share more of your music so we can get to hear it,” said Blaq Diamond’s Ndu Browns on the video call.

Makhoe Drey is happy with the remarks he got on the new single.

“After releasing my first album I was pushed by the feedbacks I got from my fans and I was inspired to drop Isncam’ncede as a follow-up single and I am happy that it’s generating positive remarks.

“With Blaq Diamond congratulating me on the single I feel inspired because these are the guys I am looking up to. I am also looking forward to working with them in the future as we also hinted on that in our conversation,” said Makhoe Drey.

Meanwhile, the Ntabazinduna-bred lad has launched a recording label called Usiba Records in his home town of Bulawayo.

“I have finally decided to open a stable in Bulawayo called Usiba. I have not signed anyone for now as I am searching for talented artistes who have the same vision as me. Under the stable I will be releasing my first project with Noluntu J on the song Uthando Luphelile,” said Makhoe Drey.
