Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run road traffic accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian along the Cross Dete–Binga Road.

In a statement posted on its official social media platforms, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest of Mike Ndlovu following the incident which occurred on May 24 at around 5AM near the 3km peg along the Cross Dete–Binga Road.

The police said Ndlovu was allegedly driving a blue Nissan X-Trail when he struck a 28-year-old man who was walking along the road.
