Man assaults wife lovera��s corpse

A GOKWE man assaulted his neighboura��s corpse because the deceased had an affair with his wife.

Tineyi Moyo of Magamba village in Gokwe under Chief Chireya (PICTURED) sent mourners into panic mode when he charged into the Dube homestead to assault the corpse of Learnmore Dube.

He claimed the late used to sleep with his wife Selina Nyoka.

It is alleged that Moyo noticed that his wife was crying and grief stricken following Dubea��s death.

Moyo asked his wife what the matter was and she revealed that she was pained by Dubea��s passing on.

Out of curiosity, Moyo questioned his wife who then revealed that she had a relationship with Dube.

A source who attended the funeral spoke to B-Metro.

a�?He came to the funeral wake and started insulting everyone who was there and demanded to see Dubea��s corpse. He said his wife had confessed to having an illicit affair with Dube,a�? said the source.

Moyo was arraigned before Chief Chireyaa��s traditional court for his actions and was asked to pay a fine of three cows to the Dube family for disrespecting them.

Moyo said he was angry after discovering that his neighbour whom he trusted was backstabbing him.

a�?I was angry after discovering that he was sleeping with my wife. What made me angrier is that the truth came outA� when he was dead meaning I couldna��t confront him.A� Therefore, I decided to beat him and honestly I felt better after beating him,a�? said Moyo.
