AN 18-year-old man is facing allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl.
He was remanded out of custody to next week for trial.
According to the State, the man, who appeared at the Chitungwiza Magistrates Court, is facing two counts of rape.
He allegedly raped the victim on two separate occasions.
The two stay at the same house.
It is alleged that on an unknown date, at around 2pm, the accused called the complainant into his mother’s bedroom.
He locked the door and asked the complainant to have sexual intercourse with him but she refused. The accused lifted the complainant onto the bed, removed her skirt and forced himself on her. On the second count, on an unknown date, the accused called the complainant into his mother’s bedroom.
He again raped her.
The two were however caught by the sister of the accused.
