A Masvingo man assaulted his brother-in-law to death, after he made claims that the accused’s sister was cheating.
The incident occurred in Mwenezi, Masvingo province on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident which resulted in the arrest of a suspect, Mkondisi Mandava aged 32.
“Police in Masvingo are investigating a case of murder which occurred at Chambarara Business
Centre, Mwenezi on August 11, 2024.
“The suspect, Mkondisi Mandava (32) head-butted the victim, Felix Sibanda (42) on the forehead before stabbing him multiple times on the thighs with a knife.
“The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over the suspect’s sister whom the victim had accused of infidelity and threatened to assault,” Nyathi said.
