A WINKY D fan lost a portable drilling machine, its charger, various tools, two hand bags and a cooler box, packed with some alcoholic drinks, when thieves broke into his parked car during Winky D’s show at Alex Sports Club on Saturday night.
Gorden Manyanga’s total losses, from the break-in, were about US$1,800.
Police say eleven other individuals also reported losing various items to thieves and the combined loss was more than US$6,000.
The other victims reported losing cellphones, whose values ranged from US$150 to US$1,300, during the show.
Among those who lost their cellphones were Daniel Bhera, Lisa Mangwaya, Panashe Tirivano, Ashell Juma, Samson Muzenda, Tendai Dzvute and Miriat Mago.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi could not be reached for comment.
However, H-Metro is reliably informed that the cases were reported at Milton Park Police Station.

Meanwhile, A Mutasa man, who targeted ZESA electricity transmission equipment, ran out of luck last month after an alert villager caught him in the act.
He has since been convicted on two counts and sentenced to 20 years behind bars.
Acting Manicaland police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, confirmed the arrest and conviction of serial vandal Innocent Mwadini of Chirindo Village.
He said Mwadini attempted to flee the scene when an alert member of the public saw him tampering with a transformer.
However, the member of the public gave a spirited chase, caught and handed him to law enforcement agencies.
Investigations revealed that Mwadini had a pending case of a similar nature.
“Following his arrest on August 7, 2026, serial vandal Innocent Mwadini (24) of Chirindo Village, Mutasa, was convicted and sentenced to a total of 20 years imprisonment for two counts of contravening the Electricity Act.
“His arrest follows the prompt action by a member of the public who became suspicious after a sudden power outage in the area.
“Upon investigating the cause of the power cut, he discovered that Mwadini tampered with a transformer.
“Mwadini immediately took to his heels, however, his escape attempt was short-lived as the vigilant member of the public gave chase, resulting in a citizen’s arrest.
“Further investigations established that Mwadini had cut a 70mm, 4-core armoured cable connected to a 12kv transformer supplying electricity to the community.
“Investigations also unearthed a second pending case in which a transformer had been vandalised before copper cable and copper windings were stolen.”
