MAN LOSES TRUCK, CRATES OF BEER

A 33-YEAR-OLD Westlea resident lost his vehicle and crates of beer to thieves in Workington, Harare, on Tuesday.

Justice Charamba lost his Toyota Hiace (AFH 2708), which was loaded with beer.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case.

“Police are investigating a theft from car case in Westlea,” said Insp Chakanza.

“The complainant locked the doors of his vehicle but left spare keys at the dashboard and went into the shop to purchase some groceries.

“Upon his return, he discovered that his motor vehicle had been stolen.

“Complainant made some frantic efforts to establish leads at the scene but to no avail.

“The motor vehicle is valued at US$14 000 while the beer inside the car was valued at US$783,” said Insp Chakanza.
