AN 18-year-old Ushewokunze man is on the run for raping a Grade 6 pupil.
Eddie Dzinzi allegedly raped the minor at around 9pm when she went outside the house to relieve herself.
Eddie lured the minor to his house, promising to give her a gift. She was given a packet of biscuits.
Afterwards, Eddie asked to have sexual intercourse with the minor but she refused.
He demanded his biscuits back.
He then raped her once without protection.
Afterwards, the girl went home where she told her mother about the abuse the following morning.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Eddie.
“Police are investigating a rape case involving a minor child.
“The complainant was escorted to Edith Opperman for medical examinations,” said Insp Chakanza.
