Man sentenced to 18 years for Murder

A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison by the High Court of Zimbabwe in Hwange for murder.
Cosmas Ngwenya and his friends were drinking and gambling at Ziqabeleni Business Centre on 18 April 2024 when a dispute erupted over a fake R50 note, which led to Ngwenya fatally stabbing Mthokozisi Ncube (30).
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPAZ) on X, Ncube attempted to control the situation, which led to Ngwenya producing a knife and stabbing Ncube.
The weapon was recovered after the scene.
