A 23-year-old Crowborough man, who had been targeting inDrive drivers, has been arrested.
Tanaka Bright Murasi and his accomplices only identified as Keda, Slim Giant and Rasta who are still at large have been hiring inDrive and robbing the drivers of their cash and cellphones.
In a statement, Detective Inspector Rachel Muteweri who is the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) spokesperson, said during the period extending from July to August 2026, Murasi and his accomplices robbed various drivers.
“On 15 August 2026, detectives from CID VTS Harare tracked one of the stolen cellphones which led to the arrest of the accused person who is implicating his a complies.
“The accomplices are yet to be arrested,” said Det-Insp Muteweri.
