A WOMAN told Harare Civil Court that her ex-husband threatened to kill her over pregnancy suspicions.

Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted a protection order to Millicent Musoko against her ex-husband, Regis Makongo, due to his violent behaviour and threats.

Millicent testified that Regis accused her of being pregnant because of her weight gain and threatened to kill her and her boyfriend.

“He accuses me of being pregnant because l have gained weight. He threatens to kill me and my boyfriend due to the pregnancy suspicions. He always tells me that no other man is allowed to impregnate me.”

She further claimed that Regis wants to consult a traditional healer to cast a spell on her and frequently insults her at her workplace, calling her a prostitute.

“A few weeks ago, he told me that he wanted to consult a traditional healer to cast an evil spill on me.

“He comes to my workplace insulting me, calling me a prostitute.

“Sometimes he stalks me and sends messages threatening to cause me to miscarry.

“I do not know why he keeps threatening me, yet l am not pregnant, and l am not in love with him.”

Regis admitted to following Millicent due to his pregnancy suspicions.

“It has been a year since we separated.

“I suspected that she was pregnant by me that’s why I have been following her.

“I want to make sure that she is safe and l can take care of my unborn child.”
