A Harare man, who has been repeatedly assaulted by his wife, has turned to other women for affection.
Robert Tosara made the revelation at the Harare Civil Court yesterday where he also sought a protection order against his wife Tarisai Ngoma.
Tosara said his wife is in the habit of assaulting him in front of their children and denying him sex.
He says he has now shifted his focus to other women for sexual favours.
Tosara also stunned the court after alleging that Ngoma had been tampering with his Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) pills.
“I now have many girlfriends who relieve my sexual needs and have been taking PrEP pills so as to avoid getting infections because I don’t like using protection.
“She has been tampering with the same pills, boiling them in hot water and making me drink them unknowingly.
“She wants to contract HIV and blame me for being careless,” said Tosara.
He added;
“Her brothers once ganged up on me and assaulted me before defecating in my yard.
“She beats me up almost every day in front of the children saying that l am poor and l do not deserve her love,” he said.
Ngoma denied the allegations saying Tosara was the abusive partner.
“He got assaulted by his girlfriend after he refused to buy her groceries.
“He is the one who has been abusing me and he has no respect for our family,” claimed Ngoma.
