AFTER having had enough of his brother`s threats, a Mutare man approached the civil courts seeking a protection order against him.Happy Muchairi described his brother, Kennedy Muchairi as violent and abusive.
Miss Nyasha Kuture presided over the matter.
Happy told the court that despite being brothers, Kennedy was disturbing his peace.
“My brother is disturbing my peace with my family Your Worship. He even goes to the extent of insulting me before our family members. I need the court’s intervention now,” said Happy.
“He told me that whenever I see him I should run away and Your Worship I once reported the matter to the police, but nothing happened. He threatens to kill me and I no longer feel secure Your Worship,” he said and added:
“Your Worship as the family we are now living in fear. On August 6, we gathered at our rural home for our younger brother`s memorial service, but he opted to lock himself inside the house playing music while others were busy. When I asked him why he was acting weirdly he threatened to beat me. He hauled all sorts of insults on me,” he added.
Miss Kuture granted the protection order in favour of Happy.
