Meteorological Services Department yesterday said rains were expected to decrease between Wednesday and Friday.
Met Department senior meteorological officer Mr Jonathan Chifuna said there was, however, a chance of isolated to scattered afternoon and evening thundershowers.
“From Saturday (December 3,) a cloud band should move into the west of the country and this should result in an increase in rainfall activity into the weekend,” he said.
Meanwhile, cloudy conditions are expected to persist to the west of the country with heavy falls being expected over Matabeleland South.
Mr Chifuna said rains of above 40mm in 24 hours were expected. Significant rains were recorded across the country between Friday and Sunday.
On Friday, Harare (Logan Park) recorded 68mm, Harare (airport) 56mm, Wedza 39mm, There is high activity across the country as farmers start planting their fields.
