Marriage collapses after illicit affair

A MVUMA man left his wife of eight years after discovering that she was cheating on him with another married man.

Spembe Chawira (53) and Licia Billiard (28) have two children together. But it was her extra marital affair with a local dentist Last Maseka that ended it all.

a�?My wife had a relationship with a married man. I have since moved out of our house because of that,a�? said Chawira.

A source close to the two said Billiard started cheating with Maseka when she met him at the local clinic where she had gone for a tooth removal.

Eventually, Chawira got wind of the affair and set a trap.

a�?He told his wife that he was going to Harare and would come back the following day. But around 8pm he returned home and found the children locked in the house. He waited outside the house only for Billiard to show up around 1pm and was dropped at the gate by Maseka,a�? said the source.

For that, he beat up his wife and in disgust moved out of the house.

Maseka confirmed to B- Metro that he dated Billiard but professed ignorance about her marital status.

a�?Yes, l did date a woman called Lucia but l didna��t know that she was married. She told me that she separated with her husband in 2014. I only found out when her husband confronted me about the issue. I have also left her because she is untrustworthy,a�? said Maseka.

Billiard said Maseka was just a friend and she separated from Chawira two years ago.

a�?Maseka is my friend. I was never in a relationship with him. As for Chawira we separated in 2014, therefore l dona��t consider him as my husband,a�? said Billiard.
