WARRIORS and Aston Villa midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba, says he is trying to give back to the community, which raised him to be the player he is today.
The Marvelous Nakamba Foundation is set to have its inaugural football tournament in Bulawayo next week.
Nakamba has also started the construction of the Marvelous Nakamba multi-purpose sports complex in Mahatshula in the City of Kings.
“As the Nakamba Foundation, our core is always to give opportunities to youngsters and l also want to give back to the community, especially with children,” he told H-Metro.
“And, if we can get more people to invest in the children, we can have more opportunities of making dreams come true.
“The foundation is trying to help those youngsters realise their dreams by giving back, through hosting tournaments, so that they can compete against each other.
“They have to believe that they can take football as a profession.” The Marvelous Nakamba Foundation was founded in 2019.
It aims to support underprivileged children with their education, sport, projects, life experiences and skills to enable them to prepare for a bright future.
