Kabunza said Pa Border is set to surpass performances of his first two albums Makwikwi and Sadza Nedoro.
“This one is a must-have for my fans. It is well polished and it is already a hit on at least two South African radio stations where I signed contracts.
“The collaborations with Maskiri and Tererai is the peak of the album and marks the beginning of stronger ties which will see us working together,” said Kabunza.
A pure contemporary “conscious” and rap-fused album opens with Nhunzi ne Bete which features Tererai in which he castigates parents who neglect children especially during harsh weather.
“Ko nhunzi ne bete dzopfekedza vana vadzo ma bachi wani (flies and cockroaches cover their children during winter) how come your child has no jersey?
“Iri love is a love song while Musamaria emphasises on the need to assist the needy, and in Pa Border it is a warning against those involved in vice and criminal activities to respect authorities.
“Because of the Aids scourge I touch on the need to protect ourselves against becoming infected in Zvibatei Zvakanaka while urging partners to take time to know each other before marriage in Hurowork,” narrated Kabunza
He also warns on getting caught by some people’s business in Mhepo and the dangers of proposed love to a married woman in Mukadzi Wemhunu.
The other songs include a Venda song Zvikoitwa Bhawalani (what happens in pubs), House Girl, Mhindu and Opposite Side.
