allegations levelled against them.
The party resolved to suspend the corrupt councillors at its national council meeting held on Saturday.
Most MDC-T run local authorities have been accused of corruption, a development that saw government suspending some of the councillors.
The party said it will set up committees to investigate and audit each of the councillors and councils to consider issues of good governance, accountability and policy consistency.
“The party observes with concern the corruption, lack of service delivery and chaos resulting from ministerial interference in some of these councils and local authorities,” MDC-T said.
Last month, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai warned corrupt councillors against engaging in shady deals, saying the party would not hesitate to dismiss them.
MDC-T fired all its Chitungwiza councillors after investigations unearthed massive corruption within the council.
