A MAN claims his married brother has snatched his wife.
Edwin Mahere, 22, told H-Metro that his brother, Ezra Mahere Chamboko, 48, lured his wife Tanaka Mtenheri, 22, and rented a house for her.
She left her children aged five and one-year seven months. Ezra denied the allegations.
He said he had planned to rent a house for Tanaka since Edwin had been physically abusing her and failing to support his family.
“My younger brother married a woman of loose morales, to be honest,” said Ezra.
“I never dated her as alleged. My younger brother had been abusing his wife for some time and he was failing to buy even her under garments.
“The two were always quarreling and Tanaka reported the abuse to police but I intervened to save Edwin from going into the police cells.
“I later decided to take Tanaka to my house after I heard that Edwin was abusing drugs and coming home late. My wife suspected something fishy and we clashed about it.”
He added:
“When my wife went to attend a funeral, our neighbours accused me of bedding Tanaka.
“My children reported that Tanaka was receiving money from me when that money was meant for their upkeep since my wife was away.
“I later decided to rent a house for Tanaka, away from Edwin, to avoid their domestic violence.
“I am the one with Tanaka’s mobile phone as well as my daughter’s phone since the two were engaging in prostitution.
“I discovered that Tanaka has been dating almost 15 lovers. Tanaka disappeared from the house, together with my daughter aged 22, and we are looking for them.
“Tanaka has been going out to nightclubs together with my daughter. Edwin will surely pay for these allegations.”
Ezra narrated how he decided to support Edwin and his family after they were failing to make ends meet at a farm.
“We share the same father with Edwin. I am the one who took them from a farm but today he is accusing me of bedding his wife.
“I saved him from being arrested over physically abusing his wife. Edwin described his brother as a cruel man.
“Mukoma wangu akudya zvevapfupi nekureba. He took my wife and rented a house for her. My children are suffering at the hands of my mother when their mother is enjoying with my brother.
“He brags that he works as a security agent. It is unfair,” said Edwin.
Tanaka could not be reached for comment since her mobile phone is in the hands of Ezra.
