POLICE have arrested a Mhangura man for allegedly sodomising three children whom he lured with some video games on his cellphone.
Charles Marimbo (19) from Cheuka Farm in Mhangura appeared before magistrate Mrs Letwin Rwodzi recently, facing aggravated indecent assault charges for contravening Section (66) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform Act 9:23).
Mrs Rwodzi remanded Marimbo in custody to June 22.
Allegations against Marimbo are that during the period between January and May this year, three boys aged between eight and 10 years visited his home and he allegedly gave one of them his cellphone to play video games.
Marimbo then allegedly ordered one of the minors to remove his pants before sodomising him while the others watched.
He also abused the other boys in the same manner on different occasions.
The matter came to light after one of the boys’ parents noticed that they were now coming home late, leading to one of them revealing the abuse.
A report was made at Mhangura Police Station, leading to Marimbo’s arrest.
Prosecutor Mr Hugiene Moyo is expected to produce medical affidavits in court during trial.
