Gospel musician Mathias Mhere is set to tour United States of America for the first time next month. The “Favour” hitmaker is billed to share the stage with Takesure Ncube and Mkululi Bhebhe in Dallas, Texas, from August 11 to August 24.
Speaking to this paper, Mhere expressed his elation at performing in the USA for the first time.
“I have always longed to perform and preach the gospel in the US and this is going to be a dream come true for me and I am promising an explosive act,” he said. Mhere highlighted that he will also be taking all his albums to the US saying he is optimistic that the show will be a success.
“We are also going to take ‘Favour’ to Dallas and this is one of my greatest opportunities to market my music there,” he said.
Show promoter Enock Mpoperi said the event is likely to attract many punters since Mhere is one of the most sought after gospel musicians currently.
“The show will be taking place in Dallas, Texas, on August 15 and its being hosted by Harvest International Church were Mhere will share the stage with Takesure Ncube and Mkhululi Bhebhe and I can now safely say that everything is in place for the show since the travel documents are now in place,” he said.
He added that Mhere’s album “Favour” is on demand in the US. “Mhere commands a large following from the Zimbabwean community based in North America and for now he is one of the top gospel artistes in Zimbabwe who is in great demand.
“His album ‘Favour’ has made him a darling to many Zimbabweans here (US),” he said.
