The Zimbabwe Mighty Warriors have been knocked out of the 2024 COSAFA Women’s Cup, finishing in second place in Group D.

Mozambique emerged as the group leaders, securing their semifinal spot with a total of four points following a 1-1 draw against Lesotho.

In the semifinals, Mozambique will face South Africa, the winners of Group A, in what promises to be an exciting matchup.

Zimbabwe’s campaign came to an end as they collected three points in the group stage. After suffering a 2-0 defeat to Mozambique in their opening match, the Mighty Warriors rebounded with a decisive 3-0 victory over Lesotho.

Sithethelelwe Sibanda has been at the helm of the women’s national team since her appointment in September. Lesotho, finishing last in Group D, ended with just one point.
