THE Mighty Warriors face an uphill battle when they host Angola in the second leg of their AWCON qualifier tomorrow in Pretoria.
The match is scheduled for tomorrow at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
Kick off is set for 3pm.
Trailing 1-2 from the first leg in Angola, captain Emmaculate Msipa remains confident her team can turn the tide and even go on to secure a spot at the continental tournament.
Speaking ahead of the crucial match, Msipa was optimistic.
“We have travelled back from Angola to South Africa and we are settling very well.
“The girls are happy, the weather is great and we are having positive conversations about the game on Wednesday,” she said.
The Mighty Warriors have been training rigorously in Pretoria, focusing on addressing weaknesses exposed during the first leg.
Msipa stressed the importance of team cohesion and determination.
“The team bonding is super and our preparations are going well.
“We are working on the areas where we lacked in the previous match.
“My message to the girls is that the marathon continues, the race is not yet over. We still have 90 minutes plus to win and that means we have a chance.
“I know we are going to do well.”
The captain also called on fans to rally behind the team, highlighting the significance of their support.
“My message to the fans is we need you. Come and support the girl child in numbers.
“The Mighty Warriors need you.”
