MILLIONS UP IN SMOKE! Blazing inferno wrecks Steelworks Industrial Yard

Raymond Jaravaza, B-Metro Online Reporter

A towering inferno ripped through Bulawayo’s Steelworks Industrial area Tuesday afternoon, engulfing property worth millions of dollars.

Five fire engines scrambled to the blazing scene as the Bulawayo Fire Brigade battled vicious flames that devoured a truck, several trailers and hundreds of hay bales, leaving behind twisted metal and blackened debris.

Thick plumes of smoke could be seen from kilometres away as terrified workers and business owners rushed to salvage what they could.

Officials are yet to confirm the cause of the fire, but early indications suggest the blaze may have started near stored bales before rapidly spreading through the yard.
This is a developing story…
