Minister Mutsvangwa urges female entrepreneurs to be tax compliant

Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Minister, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa has underscored the importance of tax compliance among female entrepreneurs and business owners.

Speaking during a tour of Matan Holdings – a woman-led business in Mutare ahead of International Women’s Day commemorations, Minister Mutsvangwa said taxes are essential for the country’s economic growth and development.

“As women in business, it is crucial that we understand the significance of tax compliance. By paying our taxes, we are contributing to the growth and development of our economy. It is a matter of patriotism, responsibility, and empowerment,” said Minister Mutsvangwa.

She said tax compliance enables female entrepreneurs to take control of their financial obligations while contributing to the country’s economic growth.

Minister Mutsvangwa also noted that economically empowered women are a force for change and development in their communities.

Minister Mutsvangwa toured various women-led businesses across Manicaland Province today as part of the build-up to International Women’s Day celebrations, which will be held in Zimunya tomorrow.
