Minister Nguluvhe leads Gwanda clean-up, engages residents on service delivery

MINISTER of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution Albert Nguluvhe yesterday led the monthly national clean-up campaign in Gwanda, where he also took time to engage residents on service delivery issues affecting their community.

The clean-up exercise was held in Spitzkop North and brought together Government officials, local authority representatives, security services, residents and schoolchildren in a joint effort to promote environmental cleanliness.

Among those who participated were Environmental Management Agency (E.M.A) Matabeleland South provincial manager Mr Descent Ndlovu, Gwanda mayor Alderman Thulani Moyo, Gwanda Municipality town clerk Ms Priscillah Nkala, Gwanda District Development Coordinator Ms Nomathemba Ndlovu, directors from the Office of the President and Cabinet, members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (Z.R.P), the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (Z.P.C.S), heads of Government departments and local residents.

During the exercise, Minister Nguluvhe interacted with residents from Spitzkop North, listening to their concerns on service delivery and community development.

The monthly national clean-up campaign, launched by President Mnangagwa in December 2018, seeks to promote environmental sustainability, improve public health and encourage communities to take collective responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean.
