Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe, Amanda Peresu Moyo, currently representing Zimbabwe at the Miss Intercontinental contest in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, is rallying for votes to secure her spot in the pageant’s finale.

Moyo, who is one of 60 contestants vying for the title, requires the support of voters to make it to the Top 7, a qualification that would guarantee her a spot in the final round. Voting, which began on November 20, will close on December 5.

“The race is on, and your vote could be the turning point that will lift your favourite contestant into the TOP 7, securing her spot directly in the final,” event organisers stated.

The contestant with the highest number of votes will be crowned “Miss People’s Choice” and will earn a Wild Card entry to the Top 7, along with a cash prize of at least $1 000, and a chance to win the Miss Intercontinental title for 2024.

However, Moyo is currently trailing in the votes, with only 10 votes as of Tuesday, while the leading contestant, Maria Cepero from Puerto Rico, has amassed over 4 000 votes.

Voting is taking place on the official website, https://missvoting.com/contest-photo/54/ but there is a cost: one point costs $1, with packages such as 50 points for $8, 100 points for $80, and 500 points priced at $350.

Moyo who is in boot camp, is urging Zimbabweans and her supporters worldwide to rally behind her for a chance at the coveted Miss Intercontinental crown.

The finale is set to take place on the night of December 6, at Tal Avenue in Sharm El-Sheikh. The reigning Miss Intercontinental, Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand who is already in Egypt, will grace the grand finale to crown her successor.
