THE Rand shed almost 50 percent of its value in the past four years but that does not even put a dent on that outgoing Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas is destined for big bucks down South.

Well placed sources within the coachas circles revealed that at AmaZulu- a First National Division side, Antipas would be earning around R170 000 which translates to around US$11 000. This being before bonuses.

a?He will be getting a monthly salary of about R170 000,a? said the source.

AmaZulu a former top flight club relegated during the 2014-15 season are eager to bounce back.

Antipas comes in as part of the teamas raft of measures. As such, there is a huge incentive for him.

a?If the club gains promotion Antipas will get a R500 000 ( $32 000) bonus,a? added the source.

However, instead of responding to the money issue, Antipas said he was moving to South Africa for a new experience despite in earlier interviews saying the offer was too good to resist.

a?It was a case of a new challenge so I couldnat ignore them,a? said Antipas.

He leaves on 20 June provided his work permit would have been issued then. The coach might be moving over with a doggy bag of Chicken Inn players to the South African side.

He recommended goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze, holding midfielder Tafadzwa Kutinyu and combative national team defender Lawrence a?Dazzya? Mhlanga along with with his assistant at Chicken Inn, Prince Matore who he joined the Bulawayo side with when he left the now defunct Motor Action of Harare.

The most notable Zimbabweans to do duty for AmaZulu are the late defender Francis Shonhayi who captained the Dream Team and goal minder Tapuwa Kapini.
