MP urges youths to desist from violence

The legislator was giving a keynote address during a graduation ceremony of 22 youths who attended a Youth Leadership Training Course held by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung last week.
“The young politicians must reject violence in Zimbabwe’s contemporary political discourse and insist that political actors who drive the agenda for violence have no place in our public institutions,” said Cde Hlongwane.
“They must think at all times about the next generation and not necessarily about the next election.”
Speaking at the same occasion, Information Communication Technology Minister Nelson Chamisa said youths should demand political space saying it will not be presented to them on a silver platter.
“You have to demand political space as youths,” said Minister Chamisa.
The event was attended by German ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Hans-Guenter Gnodtke.
