GOSPEL hip-hop artiste Mudiwa Mtandwa better known as Mudiwa Hood is the most decorated (in the genre) in Zimbabwe having bagged 27 awards in a space of six years.
Last Saturday he walked away with two gongs to his name at Zimbabwe Hip-hop Awards.
Mudiwa, who did not release any material this year, was awarded two awards, namely Personality Of The Year and Best Dressed hip-hop Artiste of the Year. The Best Dressed Award has always belonged to him since 2013.
As usual Mudiwa could not help but brag about his dressing prowess that has not gone unnoticed.
“Smartness is in my blood, I have always wanted to be smart since I was very young, at the age of 8 when I was in grade Two,” said Mudiwa.
Mudiwa is not just a face in the music industry, he is also very common in business circles.
“My hustle goes beyond music, I am a businessman as well, I have received two business awards and I am a brand ambassador of some top companies in the country,” he added.
Mudiwa began his reign in 2012 when he won four awards, in the past six years the rapper has managed to keep his bar high and has never turned back.
“Awards started raining on me in 2012 and in a space of six years I have scooped 27 awards, 2016 is the only year I walked away empty handed,” he added.
Mudiwa says his secret to the 27 awards is getting personal with Bible verses and God.
“The reason why I have so many stars on my name is God, I put God first in my hustles,” said the rapper.
