The visit by the Indian business delegation comes at a time when the Asian economic behemoth, which is the world’s fifth-largest economy, is angling to ramp up its investment foothold in the country and Africa as a whole.

Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Bramha Kumar said some members of the delegation are prepared to immediately set up shop in the country through partnerships with local companies.

Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga shares a light moment with G-Tec Education chairman and director Mr Mehroof I Manalody, who is part of a business delegation that is in the country to scout for business opportunities.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce Mangaliso Ndhlovu said he will meet the delegation with other officials later in the afternoon to discuss partnerships and investment opportunities in various sectors.
