DYNAMOS legend Murape Murape has hailed ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi for striking a partnership deal with the Morocco Football Federation.
Magwizi announced he struck the deal during his visit to Morocco.
“I am pleased to announce that this evening, I signed a landmark partnership agreement between the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and the Moroccan FA (FRMF).
“This two-year agreement will strengthen football development in both nations through:
a) Training programs for coaches, referees & administrators
b) Youth & women’s football development
c) Friendly matches for senior & youth teams
d) Exchange programmes & joint events
“Morocco will host and support ZIFA delegations, while Zimbabwe will facilitate Moroccan teams. This is a big step forward for Zimbabwean football.”
Murape threw his full support behind Magwizi.
“Kudos to the best football president Zimbabwe has ever had, Nqobile SaNkosi Magwizi Your visionary leadership has borne fruit and we are grateful for the groundbreaking collaboration and partnership with the Morocco Football Association.
“This synergy will undoubtedly elevate Zimbabwean football to new heights! Thank you for your tireless efforts and dedication to develop the beautiful game in Zimbabwe.
“It’s unfortunate that some people choose to criticise and spread negativity, rather than acknowledging and appreciating progress.
“Nqobile SaNkosi Magwizi’s efforts to partner with the Morocco Football Association are indeed a significant step forward for Zimbabwean football.
“It’s a clear indication of his commitment to developing the sport and creating opportunities for growth.”
He added:
“It’s unrealistic to expect the ZIFA president to build stadiums overnight. Is it his job and on top of that infrastructure development takes time, planning and resources.
“Rather than focusing on what’s lacking, we should be encouraging and supporting Magwizi’s initiatives to move Zimbabwean football forward.
“Let’s promote a culture of positivity, constructive criticism, and support for those working towards progress.”
