PRINCETON Institute Form Six learner – Fungai Michael Nhanhanga – has achieved outstanding success, securing the prestigious Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award.

The recognition follows his exceptional performance in the recent International Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level Mathematics examination, held in November 2024, where he attained the highest mark in the country.

A talented Sciences learner, Nhanhanga is pursuing Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Physics, and the award is a testament to his remarkable abilities, coming just six months after he represented Zimbabwe in the Beijing Youth Science Creation contest in China.

Nhanhanga’s journey to China was preceded by an impressive display at the Zimbabwe Science Fair, held in Harare in February 2024.

His outstanding performance earned him a spot among eight Zimbabwean learners who attended the event in China.

The recent award has further underscored Nhanhanga’s exceptional aptitude in Science subjects, particularly Mathematics, where he achieved an outstanding 97 percent score – the highest in the country for the AS Level Mathematics November 2024 exams.

Princeton Institute head of academics, Mr Kennedy Chakanyuka expressed pride in Nhanhanga’s achievement.

“We are thrilled to see one of our learners, Fungai Michael Nhanhanga, receive the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for achieving the highest mark in the recent International Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level Mathematics exams.

“He has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline, and academic prowess, making us all incredibly proud. This achievement serves as testament to our institution’s commitment to delivering exceptional tutorship in science subjects, which extends to other academic areas.

“What delights us most is witnessing our alumni excel beyond their high school studies. Several of our former learners have made notable achievements in their respective institutions of higher learning.

“We extend our gratitude to our parents, teachers, support staff, Principal, and directors for their unwavering support. We are confident that our collective efforts will continue to yield outstanding results and produce responsible, productive citizens,” he said.

This latest recognition of excellence from a Princeton Institute learner marks a notable milestone, as the institution has consistently produced students who have won similar awards year after year.
